Winkler Private Brewery uses only selected ingredients from the local area for its full-bodied speciality beers - hops and malt are used when they are very fresh, clear spring water from Lengenfeld fields breathes life into the beer and the fine, bottom-fermented yeast gives the beer its exquisite character.
The purity law is not only an ancient tradition for us, but the basis of our high-quality brewing tradition - we still hand-brew our own beer.
Only nature’s best is used in our brewing kettles. This is where our master brewers mix the ingredients into a unique creation, because beer brewing is an art to which we have successfully devoted ourselves for 375 years.
Knowledge of natural flavours and the latest mashhouse technology - a result of extensive conversion and modernisation at the brewery - and taking great care in buying the ingredients give Winkler Bräu beer specialities a unique flavour created by the slow, open fermentation that can only be found in small breweries. Our experienced expert brewers ensure that beer maturation and refinement runs smoothly - at Winkler Bräu, we work hand-in-hand for a unique product.
Overall, Winkler Brewery employs around 140 staff in its brewery and hotel/catering lines, which it mainly recruits from the local area. Annual staff seminars are held based on the requirements of Total Quality Management. Our main concern is traditionally the best quality for long-term quality assurance of the selected speciality beers. Working together closely with a regional brewing laboratory guarantees that we meet all of the biological and chemical quality criteria for product safety.
As a company, Winkler Brewery is traditionally involved in local associations. It carries out individually tailored advertising campaigns together with catering and trade.
As successors, Karin and Georg Böhm will continue the family tradition in Lengenfeld and secure the future of the company for the next generation.
